Rumi Scientific

Rumi Scientific's mission is to fast-track the early stage of drug discovery using our predictive models of the human brain for therapeutic success. Many neurodevelopmental diseases do not have treatments due to a lack of a-priori knowledge of the underlying biology. Rumi Scientific's technology is able to model these diseases to help enable the discovery of new targets and drugs, de-risking the current failure-prone cumbersome approach.

Quetsia Jean-Baptiste, M.S., Research Associate

Quetsia is a Research Associate at Rumi Scientific, working on iPSC-derived kidney organoids to study diseases such as diabetic nephropathy, Alport syndrome, and PKD. She earned her MS in Molecular, Cellular, Developmental, and Neural Biology from the University at Albany, where she conducted research on cell-based and organoid assays.

Quetsia is passionate about scientific mentorship and education, shaped by her teaching experience during graduate school. At Rumi, she contributes to nephrology-focused drug discovery and precision medicine platforms.
Outside the lab, Quetsia enjoys running, weightlifting, piano, and spending time with her family and church community.

I would like to learn about Rumi Scientific’s novel discoveries to treat genetic diseases.
