Rumi Scientific

Rumi Scientific's mission is to fast-track the early stage of drug discovery using our predictive models of the human brain for therapeutic success. Many neurodevelopmental diseases do not have treatments due to a lack of a-priori knowledge of the underlying biology. Rumi Scientific's technology is able to model these diseases to help enable the discovery of new targets and drugs, de-risking the current failure-prone cumbersome approach.

About Us

Our Mission

Our mission at Rumi Scientific is to harness the power of human biology and bioengineered human tissues to create transformative therapies for rare and complex diseases.

Many diseases do not have effective treatments due to a lack of knowledge of the underlying biology.

Rumi Scientific’s technology can model these diseases in a human physiological context to enable the discovery of disease modifying targets and novel therapeutics, de-risking the current failure-prone approach.

The Rumi Scientific Team

Our senior leadership is comprised of practicing scientists and strategists, and whether they are working collaboratively or independently, they always do so in pursuit of therapeutic success.

The Brivanlou Laboratory at Rockefeller University, in partnership with Eric Siggia, has laid the groundwork for Rumi Scientific’s transformative technology

The lab was among the first groups to work directly with human embryonic stem cells (hESCs,) and derived several hESC lines that have led to several discoveries under the auspices of the National Institutes of Health, and collaboration with Dr. Siggia, the first scrutiny of stem cell differentiation using high-resolution techniques derived from physics.
