Dr. Steven Goldman is the URMC Distinguished Professor of Neuroscience and Neurology, and co-Director of Rochester’s Center for Translational Neuromedicine. Dr. Goldman remains active clinically and is board certified in neuro-oncology. He serves on standing committees of the NIH, and has served as a voting member of the FDA Cellular, Tissue and Gene Therapy Advisory Committee. Dr. Goldman has published over 250 papers, over 100 as first or senior author, and holds over 30 patents in his field. His research interests are cell genesis and regeneration in the adult brain, with a focus on the use of stem and progenitor cells in both modeling and treating demyelinating and neurodegenerative diseases.
